When HRH Prince Philip Founded the Duke of Edinburgh's Award programme in the United Kingdom in 1956, he envisioned a series of challenging activities that would help young men discover inner strengths.
The programme appeals to people from all around the world
Young People from all over the
world are involved!

In the more than 40 years since its inception, the programme has expanded to 100 nations, overriding language and cultural barriers to promote positive development of youth. More than 5 million young men and women between the ages of 14 and 25 have participated or are currently working through medals.

From Swaziland to Switzerland, New Zealand to New Delhi, participants are hiking, biking, swimming, painting peeling houses, caring For the elderly and learning useful skills.
